The RD 700 series rifles are chambered in 7.62x39 and the RD 500 series rifles are chambered in 5.45x39 and come in two stock configurations.
The RD 501/701 rifles have triangle side folding stocks.
The RD 502/702 rifles have M-4 stocks with the RD AKM-4 stock adapter.
The guns are converted from Saiga IZ 132’s and IZ 240’s. We have found these rifles with Russian cold hammer forged chrome-lined barrels and properly heat-treated receivers to be the best base gun available for our 700 and 500 series rifles.
All models feature our custom front-end work using the Generation 2 Bolton Gas Block, Ultimak scope rail, and the AKBC (700 series) or Battle Comp 2.0 (500 series) muzzle devices. This very popular front end set up removes almost 1 lb off of the front of the rifle moving the center of gravity about 4” closer to the body making it very lite and the fastest handling non-SBR length AK on the market. to learn more about our custom front end.
In addition, they are finished with Norrells Moly Resin over park and available in Black, FDE (Tan), and OD Green. The U.S. Palm grip and Arsenal handguard will be standard furniture on all models. The 702 and 502 models will have Magpul CTR stocks and all production guns will have our .
