FAQ
Do I want a milled or stamped receiver?
We prefer stamped receivers; they are much lighter and about 1/3 the cost of a milled receiver. The AK was originally designed to be a stamped receiver the only reason there were ever milled receivers was because the Russians didn't have there metal stamping technology needed to produce AK's in the numbers needed. Since adopting the AKM over the AK47 the receivers have been stamped.
What about Folding Stocks:
AK100/SLR106 stocks

These are considered to be the best folding stock available. You get the feel of a fixed stock with the benefit of a folder; they lock up nice and tight and are extremely durable. They fold to the left so not to interfere with the controls
These stocks are generally installed when the gun is built; it is not very cost effective to retro fit an existing gun with one of these stocks.
Bulgarian Side Folder

These are the same folding mechanism as the AK 100 but use a metal triangle stock instead of the AK100 stock.
Ace Folders

These stocks are designed to replace a fixed stock, They come in 2 types , External block that attaches to the gun with no modification to the gun. The internal block requires cutting off the rear tang, so you will not be able to change it back to a fixed stock. These stocks can be set up to fold to the left or right. We believe that the Internal block is the best way to install these, we also put a rivet through the rear of the receiver to permanently attach the stock to the gun and it will not come loose. The Tromix stock can also be used with the Ace internal block and hindge.
Romanian Side Folder

These stocks are the most economical of the folders available, they fit any fixed stock gun and are easily changed by 2 screws. Some people find them to be hard on the cheek during recoil, wrapping them with Paracord seem to eliminate this issue.
There are other folding stocks out there but the 3 listed are proven to be effective and very durable.
What if I want a Scope Mounts?
The standard Russian scope rail mounted to the side or the receiver is the traditional method of mounting scopes, they are solid (when installed right) and all eastern block mounts will fit them.
The only other mounts we currently recommend are the Ultimak scout rails, these are excellent for mounting an Aimpoint, Eotech or whatever you choose. These are the lowest mounts available and with the right scope you will be able to co-witness your iron sights.
Both rails will allow a return to zero when the scope is removed and re-attached.
Can you do work on NFA weapons, Machineguns, Short Barreled Rifles?
We are an 07FFL/SOT and can repair or modify your transferable Machineguns, build post dealer samples and SBR's.
What is 922R Compliance?
Due to Import restrictions any new build, Siaga conversion or Mak90 conversion must have a certain number of US parts to be legally built or converted. There are several choices in the parts you can use depending on the job. To build or convert a gun without following these rules you will be in violation of federal law. All guns built or converted by Rifle Dynamics must and will be 922R compliant.
Do I want a Single Hook or Double Hook Trigger?
We use mainly single hook triggers, Most AK's were built with single hook trigger and we don't see the need for a double hook. There is more work involved in the install of the double hook and there is really no benefit in doing it.
